Pacemaker Poppers were designed with one thing in mind... Monster fish!
These poppers are uniquely designed to not only hold the very biggest of hooks, but also hold stability in extremely rough conditions. Two key factors that make these one of the most highly demanded poppers for expedition anglers around the world.
Same construction as all other Pacemaker lures, Western Red Cedar body, welded thru wire harness rated to 300kg, NT 3/0 belly swivel and a super thick epoxy layer to protect the unique paint job. Although these poppers aren't quite as durable as the larger models, they still have a total of 5 epoxy coats.
Action...
These poppers are designed to be worked deep and slow. No shallow splashes!
When worked correctly, the popper will dive, sucking air below the surface to create a bubble trail and a thump that can raise fish from any depth.
Recommend Hook Setups.
Normal Rigging – Pair of 5/0 Recorders or 5/0 Recorder on belly with a 9/0-13/0 tail single or short assist. 200lb split rings
Lure to leader connection - 2/0-3/0 NT swivel with 200lb split ring connected to lure nose eyelet.
